Hair color is one of the best ways to express your personality. Getting a stunning end result isn’t always as easy as it seems. It takes a lot more skill than simply painting dye on hair. To get the depth and nuance of color that will turn heads, you need an expert — something Chemistry’s stylists excels at.
We offer a variety of color options:
Davines Color Mask with Vibrachrom — a color conditioning system that delivers maximum shine and long lasting color. Combines nature with the latest plant based technologies in cosmetics and textiles. Created by a Certified B Corporation.
Natulique Ammonia Free Hair Color — designed for individuals with sensitive scalps. Ammonia free / PPD Free / Paraben Free / SLS Free Resorcinol Free hair color. Natulique is a 360 BIOCERT company, utilizing organic farming made from natural origin.
Maintenance: Color re-touch will last from 4-6 weeks. We recommend our preferred product lines!

Lightening the hair to a specific level is needed before color or colors are applied. We use Pulp Riot* for all our intense creative color; it is a vegan formula with no animal derived ingredients or by-products and is paraben free.
Note: extreme creative color are labor intensive and takes significant time.

Color Pull-through

How and when to pull color through the hair is an exacting science. When coloring hair, our stylists know exactly if and when to pull color through to gain the brilliant result you are looking for while keeping your hair healthy and enhancing its shine.
We offer the following color pull-through options:
Color mask pull-through — semi-permanent and permanent hair color
Ammonia-free pull-through — semi-permanent and permanent hair color
Finest Pigment pull-through — 99% naturally-derived direct hair color or tone that lasts in the hair for about four to eight shampoos.
View Color Gloss and Toner — Demi-permanent hair color with an acidic PH that fully respects and reinforces hair structure ensuring extremely shiny results. Color can last four to six weeks.
Please note: for long hair there is an up charge.
Maintenance: Usually 4-6 weeks.

Highlights offer the opportunity to add a whole new dimension to your hair. Techniques commonly used include:
Babylights: This technique creates very delicate and light fine strands of hair color that mimic natural blonde hair color.
Full-head highlights: This technique encompasses the whole head from front hairline to base of neck with a weave or slice technique.
Partial highlights: This technique encompasses the front hairline to the crown of the head with a weave or slice technique.
Panel highlights: This technique creates a specific patterns throughout the head
Follyage: This is the latest highlighting technique that is done on darker colored hair to lighten shade in a way that looks sun-kissed.
Our stylists always offer a consultation to make sure that the right technique is used to achieve the desired results.

Balayage

A French word that means "to sweep", the Balayage technique gives a natural free form color sweep to the hair. The technique involves hand painting hair, in a sweeping motion with a brush. This allows for natural looking hair with amazing depth of color, a grown in and targeted brightening effect. It is common to do the haircut first with this technique.
Please note: balayage services are always booked with a blowout or haircut

Ombre

Ombre color creates a dramatic statement when combined with a custom haircut.
The ombre technique is a more dramatic two-toned effect that is usually darker on top and lighter on the bottom. Lightener is typically used to achieve this effect.
It's versatile, customizable and suitable for most medium to long hair. This technique is typically considered a low maintenance color, depending on where the color placement is applied.
